The Student Union Kaakko´s Representative Council elections are here once again! Run as a candidate and get involved as a student influencer!

The Representative Council elections are held annually in November. In these elections 20 representatives and 20 alternate members are chosen for to the student union’s Representative Council for the following year. The Representative Council holds the highest decision-making authority in the student union, and its term of office is one calendar year.

The candidate nomination period begins on August 26, 2024, and ends on October 2, 2024. You can run as a candidate or, if you prefer, form an electoral coalition using the electronic forms available on our website. The candidates will be announced on October 4, 2024, on the Student Union Kaakko´s website and social media channels. Any necessary corrections or changes to the candidate lists must be reported by October 5, 2024.

Voting will take place electronically via a link sent to your email from October 28 to November 6, 2024. All members of the Student Union Kaakko have the right to vote and run as candidates. Membership status will be verified no later than nine (9) days before the start of voting. You are a member of the student union if you have a valid Kaakko student card or mobile student card.

The election results will be announced on November 7, 2024. The new Representative Council members will be oriented to their roles by the end of the year, and their official term begins on January 1, 2025.
