We offer you the opportunity to learn new skills and develop yourself in a safe and mutually supportive team. In addition, through this activity, you have the opportunity to create nationwide networks for yourself for the future. For working, we pay a fee according to the assignment and responsibilities, and for the activities it is possible to obtain credits, courses and an official certificate of employment.
The requirement is Student Union Kaakko’s membership, an open-minded mind and a willingness to commit to activities for the whole year. We are also seeking a creative and new perspective on action.
The Board’s workload is broken down as follows (changes possible):
- Chairman of the Board approx. 85 h/month
- Vice Chairman of the Board approx. 40 h/month
- Board member approx. 20 h/month
In the Board you can do services, student events, tutor activities, communication, sports and hobby activities, advocacy, international activities and more! Each board member will have their responsibilities at the end of the year and will also be able to influence it.
There needs to be no previous organizational or influencing experience, but it can be useful. The main working language of the board is Finnish.
The new board will start on 1 January 2023 and prior to this they will have an induction and groupings weekend on 9-11 December 2022 together with the representative office. Applicants will be required to participate in that weekend.
The application will end on 1 December 2022 5.00pm with a meeting of the newly elected representative council. It is possible for all applicants to participate in the organizing meeting both remotely and physically and we will inform all applicants more about this!
